Viña Olabarri Gran Reserva 2014
In this context, our wine Viña Olabarri Gran Reserva obtains 90 points and a special review: “…This cuvée of Tempranillo with 16% Graciano and 4% Mazuelo is a case in point: tangy, leafy and herbal with subtle, toasty oak, fine tannins and sweet balsamic complexity.” We are grateful for this recognition that reflects the careful ageing in French and American oak barrels during at least 36 months and another 36 months in bottle. This is a wine with black fruit, mineral and spicy notes with a great balance between maturity and the freshness coming from the fruit that lingers harmoniously and pleasantly on the palate. Tim Atkin has also included in this report our wines Viña Olabarri Crianza, Viña Olabarri Reserva, Bikandi Crianza Ecológico y Bikandi Reserva Vendimia Seleccionada, all of them rated 88 points.
